Prison Preaching Program – Sharing Lord Caitanya’s Mercy Behind Bars
Bringing Bhakti Yoga and Srila Prabhupada’s Teachings to Inmates
The ISKCON Prison Ministry (IPM) is dedicated to sharing the transformative power of bhakti-yoga with inmates across the United States. This spiritual outreach program, guided by the teachings of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, aims to bring hope and divine knowledge to those incarcerated, offering them a path to self-realization and devotion to Lord Krishna.
IPM’s work includes:
- Writing and mentoring inmates
- Distributing Srila Prabhupada’s books and Back to Godhead magazines
- Sending japa beads, devotional materials, and offering spiritual guidance
- Assisting with access to vegetarian meals
- Visiting inmates to offer devotional association
Volunteers are encouraged to embody qualities such as compassion, humility, tolerance, sincerity, and steadfastness, engaging purely on a spiritual basis to uplift those often forgotten by society.
Join the cause or support the mission by connecting with our coordinators and bringing Srila Prabhupada’s mercy to those behind bars.
